Times of Transition
But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
As we all know, transition is a process. Throughout our lives we will move into different seasons of transition. In this time some of us have and idea of where we are headed with no specifics. Much of the ideas that we have are based on the call of God on our lives. Abraham had a promise from God but did not know where he was going. He took each day a step at a time. Jesus also told us that we don’t need to worry about tomorrow. Today has enough things to deal with without us jumping ahead into the next day.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
There is a waiting process that should come with contentment with the day that we are in currently. There is no rush to move ahead. Jesus did not operate in a rush but was sensitive to the Spirit in complete peace moving from one place to the next.. With Him as our example we need to also flow in the same manner. The flesh gets anxious. The inner man is at peace. After patience has had its perfect work we can receive the promise of God in our lives. There is a time to wait. When we feel like “we” have to do something that is usually when the trouble begins. We need to spend time with Him and allow Him to do the work that He needs to do in us. There is too much of the ministry driven mindset. There is need for those who desire to spend time with Him more than anything else. Martha was the busybody. Mary sat at Jesus feet receiving His words in adoration of Him. It is out of the place of devotion and adoration that we find true contentment and purpose. We can do nothing apart from Him.
And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. 42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
I recently had a dream. In this dream a huge caterpillar appeared before me. It was beautiful and colorful. I just began to caress the caterpillar in wonder of the beauty of it. It immediately started to go through the transformation process. The next thing I knew it had become a beautiful butterfly. Someone began to touch it wings and I said, “No! Don’t touch the wings they are still wet like paint.” The wings were so very beautiful to behold that you wanted to touch them. All of this was happening in a house. Then the butterfly made its way to the front door and out on to the porch where there were many other butterflies outside drying their wings in the sun. There were many different colored and diverse butterflies that were all beautiful.
This dream speaks of transition that many of us are in. In the caterpillar state there is beauty but not the ability to fly. It is a state where you can easily be “touched”. This represents the beginning stage of life in Christ were you are recognized as having an anointing from God before the commissioning. Now many are moving into a new season. At this time many are in the waiting state of drying their wings in the “Son” by spending that time with Him. They are getting ready to fly and move into commissioning. The transition state is a very delicate time where some would try to touch and move you on prematurely. This would end up damaging your wings. So it is important not to be distracted during this time of transition, but to keep your focus being “in the “Son of God”. So there is a launching of many. This also speaks of similar callings. The butterflies were grouped together. So there is synergy in numbers. There will be diversity of gifts as well just as there were many different colors and types of butterflies. At the end of the dream I was going to get my camera to take photos of these butterflies because of they were so colorful and beautiful. So there may be some Holy Spirit “exposure and favor” involved in these callings where cameras are involved.
In His Great Love,
